Opal Schrock

Opal has been dancing for over 15 years. Starting dance at three years old, she developed a strong passion for the art. Opal has trained in various styles, such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theater. She trained intensively at the International Ballet Theater Institute, allowing her to develop a strong ballet/technical foundation. Opal also trained intensively at KAST Academy, where she developed her love for the styles: musical theater, jazz, and contemporary.  She has also taken intensive classes from famous choreographers such as Lucy Vallely, Brian Friedman, Sacramento Kings dance coach Sarah Schneeweis, and Broadway star Rachelle Rak. Opal started competitive dance at the age of 9, and since then has won multiple solo and group awards. In 2019, Opal won first place at the national competition, Starbound, for having the highest scoring solo in her age category.
